However, I will say without a shadow of a doubt that a B3/B6 which no tension bar gives a smoother, nicer feel and better tuning stability than a B7/B5 assuming both guitars are equally well set up.

On a Tele, the break angle is optimal as-is with a B5, or can be made so with a small shim. Any less break angle and you’ll likely have a few additional problems.
