WebJan 9, 2007 · Use a C4 small housing tranny/flywheel from a V8 Mustang II. It fits the tunnel fine. A 302 will break the stock 6.75 rear end that comes stock in a Pinto. You can also use the 8" rearend from the Mustang II. Its a direct bolt in. I fabricated my motor mounts but I am sure there are probably mounts made today.
