Also I don't recommend switching to sapphire on a Seiko is the hardlex isn't scratched up or broken. I have a 18 years old hardlex on my SKX and it still looks like new. If it's really that bad, you might think of swapping it for a sapphire ( if available for your watch ) Your worry of scratching will be over with it.
