Your best option is to get one of the same brand of your head set, and you need a crow race for a tapered fork, or for 1.5" head tube, or for 1 1/2", it's the same thing, but they seems to like to complicate things. Generally speaking, you take the crown race off of the old fork and install it on the new fork. It sounds like you're changing from a straight 1 1/8" steerer to a tapered steerer fork, though.
